Frequently Asked Questions:
What should I wear? Dress for the weather. You’ll be outside most of the time. The trails can be muddy, so wear appropriate footwear/boots. Where is the event? Where should I park? This program takes place at Cincinnati Nature Center's Rowe Woods location (4949 Tealtown Rd, Milford, OH 45150). Upon check in, we’ll guide you in parking.
Will I receive a map or program?
There will be a digital map available through our Mobile Guide. There will be a QR code for you to scan with your phone onsite, and that will take you directly to the map.
How long is the trail? How long will it take? Our expanded trail is just over a mile and mostly flat. We are featuring five light show artists this year. Most of the trail is outside. It traverses around the Rowe Visitor Center, Krippendorf Lodge, and Abner Hollow Cabin, where you can warm up a bit. The entire trail should take about an hour to complete. We recommend a slow pace to take in the sights and sounds of this special evening. Be inspired by the forest glow, listen to live music, warm up by the bonfire, visit a beautifully decorated historic home, and enjoy holiday shopping! Are restrooms available? There are three restroom facilities available along the trail, including a handicapped accessible restroom.
May I purchase drinks or food at this event?
Drinking fountains will be on at the Rowe Visitor Center for those who wish to fill their water bottles. A truck offering hot beverages (coffee and cocoa) for purchase may be available outside of Krippendorf Lodge, but this is not guaranteed for all nights and hours of the event. Please place trash from beverage purchases in designated trash receptacles located throughout the event. No food will be available for purchase.
