Join us to unveil our newest play feature: “Finding Home” an interactive sculpture in the Nature PlayScape. Take a step inside our “scaled” up creation and become one with the trees. This project is part of the Earth Expressions program at the Cincinnati Nature Center and was funded in part by ArtsWave Catalyzing Impact Grant.

Description: Grab your hiking boots and join us for an afternoon of nature exploration! We’ll take a 1-mile hike, look for signs of animal visitors, and complete all requirements for the Bears Adventure: Fur, Feathers, and Ferns Badge.We’ll complete most of the requirements of this badge during the program.

Program Description: Join us to learn about woodcocks as we take a brisk walk to the fields at Long Branch Farm & Trails to listen and watch. First you will hear them, then you will see their flight against the darkening sky. Woodcocks are a secretive game bird and the best part of the “mud season.”
What to Expect: Expect to be here for slightly over an hour to learn about these fascinating birds. Distance traveled is typically less than 1/4 mile at a slow pace. There will be periods of quiet standing (or sitting if you bring a chair) while we wait for the action to begin.
What to Wear: Please dress for the weather as this program will take place entirely outside. It will be muddy; wear old clothes and boots.

Program Description: Witness the night's magic transform the trails as we marvel at the full moon and reveal natural history happenings on this guided hike. Full Moon Walks provide rare opportunities to hike Nature Center trails when we’re normally closed. These nighttime walks utilize level upland trails—we avoid hills, steps, and stream crossings for safety.
While each Full Moon Walk varies, we generally stop periodically for natural history moments, special readings, or simply to admire the shadows cast by the full moon. As it’s nighttime, the pace is slower. Leaders adjust the walking speed based on their group.
What to expect: On a Full Moon Walk, you’ll take a 1-to-1.5-mile leisurely walk on a trail. Trails may be muddy during wetter times of the year, but we’ll do our best to keep you dry.

Program Description: In early spring, when the weather is just right, salamanders and frogs move to ponds and vernal pools to breed. Discover what to look and listen for, then we'll search for these amphibian creatures!
Note:
- Please arrive promptly to start at 8 pm for the start of our program. Please note our gatehouse will close at 8:15 pm.
- As this program has an end time of 9:15 pm, this program is not appropriate for children with early bedtimes.

Program Description: Join us for Cincinnati’s premier garden tour, presented by Wimberg Landscaping Company, featuring 9 magnificent gardens that incorporate native plants in unique and creative ways. Locations include North Avondale, Blue Ash, Loveland, and Indian Hill
What to Expect: Guests receive a Garden Tour program booklet to help plan their self-guided tour. The Garden Tour booklet grants you entrance into the gardens between 9 am and 5 pm. Each guest on the tour must show their booklet to gain access to each garden.
Order tickets by May 31, 2024 to receive the tour booklet in the mail! Guests purchasing after this date will have the option to stop by Cincinnati Nature Center entrance gatehouse of the Rowe Woods location (4949 Tealtown Rd., Milford, OH 45150) to pick up their booklet before the tour or pick up their booklet at Garden #1 the day of the tour.

Registration Deposit of $250 is due now.
Enrollment Deposit
The $250.00 deposit is required at time of application. Your child is not officially enrolled until this deposit is received by CNC. The deposit will be applied to your total prior to calculating your remaining payments. If your child enrolls and does not attend the Nature School, the $250 deposit is not refunded.
If a student withdraws for any reason other than a medical problem (verification from a licensed physician required) or relocation, parents are personally liable to pay the full tuition for the balance of the school year.

Description: Join us for a forest hike and birdwatching as we complete this new nature badge! We’ll have fun using our math skills to learn more about the animals and plants at the Nature Center.
What to Expect: This naturalist-led program takes place outdoors; please dress for the weather with appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes for hiking. We’ll be hiking over uneven surfaces, with some hills. Please email ahorne@cincynature.org with questions or concerns.

Summertime is back once again, and so, too, is Music Under the Moon at Cincinnati Nature Center. Set against the idyllic backdrop of our Groesbeck Estate, each month we'll feature a different local band. Come for one date or join us for all three. Each show is sure to be high energy and have everyone on their feet! Food, wine, and beer will be available for purchase (IDs will be checked at the door). Complimentary light snacks will be provided.
Please Note: This event will take place on a covered, outdoor patio, so festivities will take place rain or shine!
