Plant Native for Novices 4/25/2021

This event is no longer on sale.

Sunday April 25

3:00 PM  –  4:30 PM

Preregistration required. This program is designed for adults.

Location Update: Program participants should meet at the map kiosk outside of the Visitor Center at our Rowe Woods location.

Take a leisurely tour through our native gardens to spark inspiration for planting at home. We will become fluent in garden-speak by decoding plant labels. As we stroll through our verdant grounds, we’ll engage in a myriad of activities to awaken and intrigue the senses, from sniffing sassafras to crushing spicebush. We’ll learn the tricks of starting, or improving your gardening endeavors, and understand why planting native benefits us all.

Important Note: As this program will be meeting outdoors to ensure social distancing, it will be run as a “fair weather program.” Extreme weather like severe storms will cancel this program and a full refund will be offered. Nature Center staff will communicate the status of this program via email by 8 am on the morning of the event in case of poor weather.

Members $5; nonmembers $14 (includes admission).

Cincinnati Nature Center is following the guidance of the CDC which continues to require masks for all adults and children in kindergarten through 12th grade for indoors (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc) and outdoors when one cannot consistently maintain a six-foot distance.
