Show the forest, fields, ponds, and streams from a bug’s eye view with the power of technology and the intensity of hands-on exploration! Make nature fun and accessible for all by learning the art of digital nature storytelling with Kristie Reddick and Jessica Honaker, professional entomologists and educators known as The Bug Chicks. They use their equipment and technical skills to help you see nature in a whole new way! You’ll leave with skills, tricks and ideas to create conservation-focused nature shorts that show your audience why nature is worth protecting. You can share your videos with family, friends and maybe even college recruiters!

An experience with The Bug Chicks is not to be missed! These world-traveling scientists and sci-comm specialists are bringing their enthusiasm for bugs - big and small - to Cincinnati. They specialize in working with teens on conservation studies and have even led explorers ages 13 – 17 in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest. Don’t miss this unique chance to work side-by-side with these nationally recognized entomologists.

Group Size: We will work in 2 groups of no more than 10 people per group.

What to bring: Please bring your own mask. Whether indoors or outdoors, masks are required at all Cincinnati Nature Center programs. Masks are to be worn outside when one cannot consistently be spaced 6 feet apart. Masks are also required to be worn while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.).

Additional required online forms and information will be sent before the program. Please provide an email address that is checked regularly.
