Learn by doing as we gather and process wildflower seeds from our grounds. We’ll explore the importance of seeds, tour the greenhouse, and send you home with seeds and instructions to set you up to grow your own native perennials for 2022.
In this fully outdoor program, we’ll cover:
• How to take cues from nature to determine when to harvest
• Seed harvesting, handling, and storage techniques
• Stratification (cold treatment) methods and timing
• Tips for getting started in the spring
• Equipment suggestions
• We’ll send you home with 8-10 kinds of native wildflower seeds and a tip sheet
Program participants will meet at the Abner Hollow Cabin at our Rowe Woods location. Park in slots along Groesbeck Drive in view of Abner Hollow Cabin.
Members $20; nonmembers $29 (includes daily admission).

Masks are required while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.). Masks are not required outdoors.
*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. All programs continue, rain or shine.
Important Information For All Program Registrants: Please retain an electronic copy of your order number or save/print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt. You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
