Preregistration required for all adults and children. Geared for adults or youth 10 and up with adult.
Program participants meet at the Outdoor Learning Center at our Rowe Woods location.
Learn to make fire with flint and steel in this hands-on class. We’ll cover safety and how to find and prepare natural tinder and flint. Then we'll make char cloth and tinder, strike sparks and coax them into fires. A hot snack will be cooked and served.
Members $7; nonmembers $11 (includes daily admission).
*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event.
Important Information For All Program Registrants: Please retain your order number or print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt. You will need your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
