Explore the Pond Family Programs: Wiggly Newts

Preregistration required. Geared for ages 4-8 with an adult.

Program participants meet in the Outdoor Learning Center at our Rowe Woods location.

Put on some playclothes and rain boots to explore the interesting wildlife that calls our ponds home! In each class we’ll use nets to catch pond creatures. Each program will focus on a different animal:

Wiggly Newts - Newts are quiet amphibians that glide through the water looking for insects to munch on. We’ll search for adults and larvae and see if we can catch some aquatic insects too!

Members $5; nonmembers $10 (includes daily admission). 

 *Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event.

Important Information For All Program Registrants:  Please retain an electronic copy of your order number or save/print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt.  You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
