Explore the Pond Family Programs: Turtles on a Log

Preregistration required. Geared for ages 4-8 with an adult.

Program participants meet in the Outdoor Learning Center at our Rowe Woods location.

Put on some playclothes and rain boots to explore the interesting wildlife that calls our ponds home! In each class we’ll use nets to catch pond creatures. Each program will focus on a different animal:

Turtles on a Log - Summer is a fabulous time to turtle spot! Whether lined up on a floating log or bobbing in the water, aquatic turtles are fun to observe. We’ll hike to several ponds to look for turtles and we’ll learn about their habits and needs.

Members $5; nonmembers $10 (includes daily admission). 

 *Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event.

Important Information For All Program Registrants:  Please retain an electronic copy of your order number or save/print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt.  You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
