Wildflower Seed Harvesting Project at Long Branch Farm & Trails

Preregistration required. 

Give back by gathering wildflower seeds during this family-friendly learn-by-doing volunteer project. On this walking and working tour, we’ll visit the fields to harvest then take your through cleaning, drying, and processing seeds that will be used to improve our sites. Head home with native plant seeds, inspiration, and tips for your own yard.

Meet at the white Creekside Barn at our Long Branch Farm & Trails location (6926 Gaynor Rd, Goshen, OH 45122).

Please dress in clothing and footwear appropriate for this outdoor program where we get to go off trail to collect seeds in our fields. Long pants and long sleeves are recommended. Feel free to also bring gloves, if desired.

Members $6; nonmembers $11 (includes daily admission). Fees help fund our native plant education efforts.

Masks are required in all our buildings for all vaccinated and unvaccinated people (all individuals kindergarten and up). Masks are not required outdoors or under pavilions and tents.

*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event.

Important Information For All Program Registrants: Please retain your order number or print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt.  You will need your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program. 

Cincinnati Nature Center will run advertised programs and events ​in accordance with current guidelines outlined by the CDC and local health agencies. The status or format of programs may change based on COVID-19 best practices and conditions at the time of the program. In the event that Cincinnati Nature Center cancels a program, full refunds will be issued.
