Wildcrafted Bites: Seasonal Flavors

Preregistration required for this program designed for adults 21 and older. (ID required.)

Revel in last year’s harvest at this immersive, hands-on evening of crafting foraged cocktails and light bites. Our freezers and pantries are teeming with wild-harvested goods from the 2022 season!

There will be appetizers offered at this program, made from a number of locally-foraged and sourced ingredients. While we cannot promise to accommodate every food allergy or dietary restriction, we will certainly try our best. If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction that you would like our staff to know about, please email Laura Whalen at lwhalen@cincynature.org no later than Monday, May 15 at 5:00 pm.

Program participants should meet at Krippendorf Lodge at our Rowe Woods location.

Members $35; nonmembers $45 (includes daily admission).

What will we be doing at this program? 

  • At this program, we will create light bites made with last year's foraged goods, and craft a cocktail using a featured foraged ingredient. This will be an interactive program where participants will be engaging both their hands and minds. We will spend some of the program seated, and some of the program up on our feet.

Will we be outside for this program?  

  • This program will be held indoors due to the unpredictability of the April weather.

Will there be vegetarian/vegan options at this program? 

  • There may be some vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options at this program, but we cannot promise that every course will satisfy every dietary restriction. To notify our staff of dietary restrictions in advance, please reach out to Laura Whalen at lwhalen@cincynature.org no later than Monday, April 24. 

Will there be parking at this program? 

  • Yes, there is plenty of parking available at the Krippendorf Lodge.

Can I bring my dog to this program? 

  • No. Please keep your furry friends at home. Registered service animals only, please.   

Do I have to purchase a ticket?   

  • Yes. Registration is required. We do expect this event to sell out, so act quickly!

Cancellation Policy: Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. All programs continue, rain or shine. In the event that Cincinnati Nature Center cancels a program, full refunds will be issued.

Program Policy: Cincinnati Nature Center may update the status or format of programs based on conditions at the time of the program.

Media Release: All participants (18 and older) associated with this transaction grant permission to Cincinnati Nature Center to utilize images, likenesses, actions, or statements in any form taken during a visit to the Nature Center, at a Nature Center sponsored event, or virtual presentation for the purpose of promoting the Nature Center in perpetuity.

Important Information For All Program Registrants: Please retain your order number or print off/save an electronic copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt. You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
