Preregistration required for all participants. Suitable for adults and children ages 9 and up.
Program participants should meet at the Abner Hollow Cabin (in the field near the Nature PlayScape) at our Rowe Woods location.
Join us on the longest night of the year for a modern observance of an ancient tradition. Learn about the history of the winter solstice and the modern day symbolism that is with us today. We’ll then head out on a night hike in search of nocturnal animals that are also looking forward to the rebirth of spring. We’ll conclude with refreshments and a bonfire at the Abner Hollow Cabin. This hike is entirely outside; dress accordingly.
