This program is for children ages 7-9 years and registration includes all four dates for the program:
September 9, Between a Rock and a Hard Place
Join us as we venture down to the stream for a hands-on excavation of 450 million year old fossils and comparisons with live stream animal discoveries. Throw on some shoes that can get wet as we search for critters in deep pools, shallow riffles and everything in between.
October 14, Insect Blitz
Get friendly with bees, butterflies, and more as we catch, observe, and release insects of all shapes and sizes. Search through tall grasses, under logs, and other unexpected places to discover things that crawl, fly, dig, jump, swim, and more.
November 18, Going Nuts!
Things get a little nutty at CNC as nuts and leaves fall to the ground during autumn. Come investigate the forest floor for different nuts and find out how animals are using them.
December 16, Winter Adaptations
Explore how animals survive the cold Ohio winters as we take on challenges out on the trails. Join us as we learn survival skills that animals might use to endure the cold months ahead.
