Connect to nature in a deeper way through the mindful movement and meditative practices found in yoga. During this on-the-trail experience, participants will be guided through a flowing sequence near water, strengthening postures using a tree, and walking meditation incorporating nature awareness. All levels are welcome.

About the instructor: Megan Kennedy is a certified yoga instructor. Before teaching yoga, she worked in the environmental field as an outreach and research coordinator for non-profits focused on supporting sustainable food systems and policy. During her Environmental Studies Masters program at Antioch University in New Hampshire, Megan became connected to a mindfulness community located on a 50-acre wooded property where she learned meditation and attended silent retreats. This experience inspired her yoga practice and eventually led her to formal yoga teacher training. Megan received her 200 hour training from Yoga Ah in February 2018 and has been teaching yoga full-time ever since. She also takes participates in yoga workshops throughout the year to continue her education, such as yoga therapy, yoga for addiction, and yoga for stress. Her interest in environmental awareness and nature connection has inspired her yoga practice and teaching. She spent the summer of 2018 offering free yoga hikes around the Cincinnati area, and her goal is to continue to teach yoga outdoors, guiding others through yoga poses using trees, and connecting breath and movement to the natural world.

Minimum age for children attending with a parent: Children of any age are more than welcome with the understanding that it is an ADULT yoga class, so children under 13 years of age may not be able to do everything or stay interested in the class. Adults will have to decide how much management of their children they are interested in doing.

How to dress: Participants should dress in layered, loose, comfortable athletic clothing. Jeans are NOT recommended.

What to bring: Guests should bring water and a small hand towel. A yoga mat is not needed.
