Tools of the Sugar House - An Up Close Experience for Families/All Ages 2/15/2020

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday February 15

8:45 AM  –  9:45 AM

Preregistration required for all adult and child participants.  This program is for all ages/families.

Program participants should meet at the Outdoor Learning Center (near Krippendorf Lodge) at our Rowe Woods location.

Get an up-close look at the maple syrup evaporator and sugaring tools like skimmers, filters and thermometers. With an adult's help, child participants will be able to look inside the sap storage tanks, try on the fire gloves, help set up the Native American rock boiling demonstration, and help prepare the materials to fire up the evaporator for the day.

What to bring: Please bring your own masks. Whether indoors or outdoors, masks are required for all adults and children in Kindergarten through 12th grade at all Cincinnati Nature Center programs. Masks are to be worn outside when one cannot consistently be spaced 6 feet apart. Masks are also required to be worn while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.).

Members $5; nonmembers $10.  Online tickets for nonmembers includes daily admission.

*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. All programs continue, rain or shine.
