See Like a Camera: A Beginner's Guide to Photographing Nature

This event is no longer on sale.

Sunday October 23

1:00 PM  –  3:00 PM

Preregistration is required. Appropriate for adults and children 8 and over (with an adult) who are interested in nature photography. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

See nature in a new light! Join us for a hands-on, family-oriented beginner photography program. Expose yourself to a new perspective and see nature through the eyes of your camera. Connect with the outside world and learn how to frame your favorite nature subjects. What inspires you to capture a photo outdoors? How can composition, light, and technique help you? We’ll explore these three key concepts in a brief classroom-style lecture and at photography stations on a short hike along our trails. Cincinnati Nature Center Camera Club members and Nature Center staff will be available to answer questions after the hike.

Bring your favorite camera or phone to our Krippendorf Lodge Terrace at our Rowe Woods location (4949 Tealtown Rd, Milford, OH 45150).

Dress for the weather and enjoy easy hiking over relatively flat terrain. Walking between the three photography stations and Krippendorf Lodge is a 5-minute hike.

Program participants should meet at Krippendorf Lodge Terrace. This is a rain or shine event. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be moved indoors to our Krippendorf Lodge.

Members free; nonmember adult $10 and nonmember child $6 (includes daily admission).
