Pawpaw Hunting at Long Branch Farm & Trails

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday September 14

3:30 PM  –  5:00 PM

Preregistration required for all participants. As we will be venturing off trail and crossing a creek, this program is recommended for ages 5 and up.

Program participants should meet at the Creekside Barn at our Long Branch location, 6926 Gaynor Road, Goshen, OH 45122. (Get Directions)

Pawpaw trees have been hiding right here in Ohio’s backyard for thousands of years, but it wasn’t until 2009 that the pawpaw was named Ohio’s native state fruit. As we venture “way down yonder” to treasure hunt for ripe pawpaw fruits, we’ll explore the history, science and lore of the “Ohio Banana.”

What to wear: Long pants recommended. Choose closed-toe shoes that you don’t mind getting wet or dirty.

Members $6; nonmembers $11 (includes admission).

*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. All programs continue, rain or shine.
