Nature’s Fireworks! A Firefly Evening Program

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday July 1

9:00 PM  –  10:30 PM

Preregistration required. This program is designed for adults and families with older children (ages 10 and up). Older children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that this program may not be suitable children with early bedtimes.

Program participants meet in front of the PlayScape Pavilion at our Rowe Woods location. Please bring a mask if you are able. As with all Cincinnati Nature Center programs, participants are encouraged but not mandated to wear masks while participating in an outdoor program. Masks, however, are required to be worn while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.).

Missing traditional firework displays this summer? Create a new tradition with us as we discover the magic of an evening firefly light show. This naturalist led program will highlight the natural history of fireflies as we explore both forest and meadow habitats. Terrain covered will be mostly flat and we’ll move at a leisurely pace. Participants should wear comfortable shoes and bring light rain gear as this program takes place entirely outdoors. Groups sizes will be limited to allow for appropriate social distancing.

Members $5; nonmembers $10 (ticket prices include daily admission).

*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. Programs continue, rain or shine.

Important Information For All Program Registrants:  Please retain an electronic copy of your order number or save/print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt.  You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
