Maple Tree Tapping Day 1/8/2022
This event is no longer on sale.
Registration Requirements: Preregistration required.
Intended Audience: Most appropriate for adults or interested youth ages 8 and up with a caretaker.
Program Description: Help us tap the trees as we start the sugaring season. Head out into the sugarbush with a maple guide to learn the ins and outs of tree identification and tapping, all while drilling holes, setting taps, and hanging sap buckets. We’ll have hot cocoa and a fire to warm up. This is a great experience but also serves as a how-to instructional class for those wishing to tap trees at home.
What to Wear: Dress for the weather as this program will take place outdoors and will include some off-trail hiking.
Where to Meet: Please meet at the Outdoor Learning Center at our Rowe Woods location.
Cost: Members $7; nonmembers $13 (includes daily admission).
