Make a Hiking Stick 6/12/2021 8:30 AM

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday June 12

8:30 AM  –  9:30 AM

Preregistration required.

Meet at the Outdoor Learning Center at our Rowe Woods location.

Find which pre-harvested honeysuckle branch speaks to you and craft it into a hiking stick using our hand tools to saw, smooth, and shape the stick. Use our leather stamping set and brass tacks to embellish your new hiking tool. We will be following current social distancing guidelines for this program and also sanitizing tools between uses.

Fees are per stick kit; a parent may purchase one stick to work on with their child. Nonmembers parents who purchase a ticket for their child, but do not purchase a ticket for themselves, will pay daily admission at the gate.

Members $7; nonmembers $14 (includes daily admission).

Unvaccinated people, including children kindergarten and up, are required to wear masks while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.). Masks are not required outdoors.

*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. Programs continue, rain or shine.

Important Information For All Program Registrants:  Please retain an electronic copy of your order number or save/print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt.  You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
