Homeschool Maple Sugaring 1:30 PM

This event is no longer on sale.

Monday February 7

1:30 PM  –  3:00 PM

Preregistration is required. Suitable for 5 and up with a caregiver. Adult chaperones/parents must register and should attend with their child. Older and younger siblings may attend if they are registered and paid. This program is designed for homeschoolers/virtual learners. (2 and under are free.)

Join a naturalist for a hike into the sugarbush with your family to collect “liquid sunshine” and see how it’s turned into sweet maple syrup. Look at how sugaring has changed throughout history and visit the Sugar House. Help with sugaring work and sample warm maple syrup right off the evaporator.

What to wear/bring: Please dress for the weather as this program will take place outside. Bring a water bottle and a mask. (Masks are required while inside all facilities, for example, Rowe Visitor Center or restroom. Masks are not required outdoors.)

Students participants should meet at the Outdoor Learning Center at our Rowe Woods location with a caregiver/designated adult. Look for the “Sap Hikes Start Here” sign. Dress for the weather; this program takes place completely outdoors.

Members $7; nonmembers $13 (includes daily admission). Participation is limited.

By registering below, you agree to Cincinnati Nature Center policies listed below:
