Preregistration is required. Suitable for 3rd-6th grade equivalent, but older and younger siblings may attend as well.
Explore the rock and soil under our feet with a naturalist, including a hike to the stream. We'll unearth fossils, examine how our land changes, and dig into what our soil is made of.
Participants should meet in the PlayScape Pavilion at our Rowe Woods location.
What to wear/bring: Please dress for the weather as this program will take place outside. Bring a water bottle.
Members $7; nonmembers $11 (includes daily admission).
By registering below, you agree to the following:
Masks are required while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.). Masks are not required outdoors.
Designated overseer: If a parent/caregiver is unable to attend an event, the child may attend a program with an adult designated to oversee the experience of the child (for example: grandparent, another homeschool parent, etc.). We request that one adult oversee no more than six children.
Inclement Weather Policy: As this program will be meeting outdoors, it will be run as a “fair weather program.” Extreme weather like severe storms will cancel this program. Nature Center staff will communicate the status of this program via email by 8 am on the morning of the event.
*Cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. All programs continue, rain or shine.
Cincinnati Nature Center will run advertised programs and events in accordance with current guidelines outlined by the CDC and local health agencies. The status or format of programs may change based on COVID-19 best practices and conditions at the time of the program. In the event that Cincinnati Nature Center cancels a program, full refunds will be issued.
Important Information For All Program Registrants: Please retain your order number or an electronic copy of your order/email acknowledgement as a receipt. You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
