Gardening for Pollinators (Online) 5/5/21

Preregistration required. This program is geared towards adults.

This will be a live, virtual class.  This class will take place with Zoom meeting platform. Your link to attend the meeting will be sent in a follow up email which will be sent immediately after registration. You do not need the Zoom application to participate. If you preregistered and do not receive the Zoom information by email by May 5 at noon, please contact our front desk staff at (513) 831-1711 before 4 pm. 

Steve Inglish will discuss the importance and benefits of integrating native habitat into our home landscapes and provide an overview of key habitat requirements and features you’ll need to create your own butterfly/pollinator garden. He’ll explore resources to help you transform your yard into a caterpillar nursery, as well as how to certify your yard as wildlife habitat, and provide suggestions for top picks at the plant sale.

About the Instructor: Steve Inglish is a long time Cincinnati Nature Center volunteer and team leader of the Nature Center’s butterfly monitoring program. He serves as a National Wildlife Habitat Ambassador and is an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist. He has delivered pollinator and habitat-related talks for audiences ranging from garden clubs and churches to the Civic Garden Center and the annual Midwest Native Plant Society Workshop.

 Members $10 per person; nonmembers $10.

Cincinnati Nature Center will run advertised programs and events ​in accordance with current guidelines outlined by the CDC and local health agencies.
