Preregistration is required for all children (ages 3 and 4) participating and includes the full series. Children must be potty trained.
Program participants meet at the Preschool Building from 9:15 to 11:45 am at our Rowe Woods location.
Saturday, September 8 - Monarch Madness
Explore the life cycle of a Monarch butterfly and take a hike to search for caterpillars and butterflies. How can you tell a caterpillar has been on a plant?
Saturday, October 6 - Pond Life
Follow us to the pond where we will use nets and our senses to explore what might be lurking around and under the pond.
Saturday, November 3 - Birdwatching
Use your observation skills to search for birds hiding in the forest. How many different species can we find?
Saturday, December 8 - Prepping for Winter
Discover how different animals prepare for and survive winter. Bundle up as we hike in search of squirrels storing acorns, birds migrating overhead, and animal burrows.
Does your child love being outdoors? Join us as we explore the woods around the Early Childhood building. We will search for caterpillars, investigate the pond, keep track of the birds we see and discover how animals prep for the upcoming winter.
Members $75; nonmembers $90. Preregistration required and includes full series.
