Preregistration required for all adult and child participants.  For ages 10 and up with adult.

Program participants should meet at the Outdoor Learning Center at our Rowe Woods location.

See how Native Americans made fire with natural materials, and try your hand at making fire with a bow drill. Learn to make an easy natural torch. Know where to find tinder for starting fires easily. Discover the native plants that were prized for their fragrant smoke. As darkness falls and a fire is going, you can help make popcorn as well as a wild tea.  If desired, you may bring your own food to cook on the fire (cooking skewers available for use).

Member $6; nonmembers $10 (includes daily admission). 

*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event.

 

Important Information For All Program Registrants:  Please retain your order number or print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt.  You will need your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
