Finding Frogs and Salamanders 3/25/2021

Preregistration required. Limited hopportunities! Please register quickly in order to reserve your space. You must reserve a spot in the program to be served. This program is expected to sell out.

Registered participants should join us at our Rowe Woods location in the Krehbiel Pavilion, just outside of our Nature PlayScape. 

In early spring when the weather is just right, salamanders and frogs move to ponds and vernal pools to breed. Discover what to look and listen for, then we'll search for these amphibian creatures.

Special Instructions:

  • Please arrive promptly at 7:30 pm for the start of our program. Please note our gatehouse will close at 7:45 pm. 
  • As this program has an end time of 8:45 pm, this program is not appropriate for children with early bedtimes.
  • Dress to be outdoors, bring a mask, and a flashlight. (It is best to have a flashlight for every member of your party.) 
  • This program is still on for tonight despite the possibility of wet weather! Amphibians LOVE the rain! Please wear rain gear and footwear appropriate for muddy conditions. Be prepared to be amazed!
  • Please note detours for Rowe Woods on our website and give yourself extra time to arrive.

Mask Policy: Please bring your own masks. Whether indoors or outdoors, masks are required for all adults and children in Kindergarten through 12th grade at all Cincinnati Nature Center programs. Masks are to be worn outside when one cannot consistently be spaced 6 feet apart. Masks are also required to be worn while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.). 

Members $5; nonmembers $10 (nonmember tickets include daily admission).

*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event.

Cincinnati Nature Center will run advertised programs and events ‚Äčin accordance with current guidelines outlined by the CDC and local health agencies. The status or format of programs may change based on COVID-19 best practices and conditions at the time of the program. In the event that Cincinnati Nature Center cancels a program, full refunds will be issued

Important Information For All Program Registrants: Please retain your order number or print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt. You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
