Preregistration is required for all adults and children. This program is designed for ages 2-7 years with a caregiver.
Program participants should meet in the PlayScape Pavilion at our Rowe Woods location.
During this early childhood focused hike, caregivers and children can investigate what frogs and salamanders are up to in early spring. We’ll meander to several ponds to seek out evidence of amphibians and hear a story on the trail about their lives.
In the event of thunderstorms or severe weather predicted for program times, Cincinnati Nature Center will cancel the program two hours in advance, as this is an outdoor-only program!
Members $5; nonmembers $10 (includes daily admission).
What to wear/bring: This program will take place entirely outside. Please bring your own mask and dress for the weather.

Mask policy: Please bring your own mask. Whether indoors or outdoors, masks are required for all adults and children in kindergarten through 12th grade at all Cincinnati Nature Center programs. Masks are to be worn outside when one cannot consistently be spaced 6 feet apart. Masks are also required to be worn while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.).
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the program date. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the program date.
Inclement Weather Policy: All programs will be held outside. In the event of thunderstorms or severe weather predicted for program times, Cincinnati Nature Center will cancel the program two hours in advance, as these are outdoor-only programs. Severe weather make-up days are detailed on the registration page for each program. Our weather make-up dates may be utilized for any program canceled due to weather. If we cannot reschedule your program, it will be refunded.
Information For All Program Registrants: Please retain your order number or save a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt. You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.
Cincinnati Nature Center will run advertised programs and events in accordance with current guidelines outlined by the CDC and local health agencies. The status or format of programs may change based on COVID-19 best practices and conditions at the time of the program. In the event that Cincinnati Nature Center cancels a program, full refunds will be issued.
