Program participants meet at the white Creekside Barn at Long Branch Farm & Trails.
On this guided, in-the-stream hike at Long Branch Farm & Trails, we’ll search for mussels, crayfish and snakes, net minnows, look for green heron and kingfisher, and seek fossils, animal tracks, signs of beaver and a variety of other wonders. Most water is under 24 inches deep, but there are spots that are waist deep for adults. Bring old sneakers or other stream shoes that firmly attach to your feet (no Crocs, flip-flops or rubber boots) and old towels.
Members $3; nonmembers $10 (includes admission).
*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the event. All programs continue, rain or shine.
