This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday October 19

7:00 PM  –  8:00 PM

Preregistration required for this program designed for adults and interested teens (13 and up).

Get ready to think about conservation in new and different ways! Be inspired as you hear from compelling speakers who are changing the conversation about our environment, making an impact in their communities, and thinking about how to make nature more accessible and equitable for all.

On October 19, we feature an influential individual in her field:

Nicole Jackson, Environmental Educator and Founder of Black in National Parks Week

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Nicole received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Education and Interpretation from The Ohio State University in 2011. For the past decade, she has worked for various environmental non-profit organizations throughout Ohio as an informal environmental educator. In 2020, Nicole helped co-organize Black Birders Week and went on to create Black in National Parks Week to highlight experiences and stories of Black national park visitors. Nicole is interested in connecting communities of color to nature in more engaging, inclusive, and equitable ways.
