Specially designed for ages 4-5 years. Preregistration is required for all children and includes the full series.  Children must be potty-trained.

Program participants will meet on the below Saturdays a month from 10:30 am to 1 pm at our Rowe Woods location in the Nature Preschool building. Children will bring a packed lunch to each program.

Now that your child is getting older, they can bring their lunch to this session for a picnic and hike a little further than their younger siblings. Finding toads, snails and newts are just a few things your child may encounter at Rowe Woods. Children experience a longer hike and discover treasures in nature while learning how animal habitats are important.

What to bring: Please also bring your own masks. Whether indoors or outdoors, masks are required for Kindergarten and up at all Cincinnati Nature Center programs. Masks are to be worn outside when one cannot consistently be spaced 6 feet apart. Masks are also required to be worn while inside all facilities (for example, Rowe Visitor Center, restroom, etc.).

Members $85; nonmembers $100 (includes daily admission). Preregistration is required and price includes all dates in the series. 

Media Release: To promote its facilities, attractions and offerings, Cincinnati Nature Center uses photos and videos. Images or recordings of you or your child or guardian may be used to promote Cincinnati Nature Center. The Nature Center owns the copyright to these images and recordings and may use them for promotional purposes. By participating in this program, you are releasing rights to approve images or recordings.

*Please note that cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the series. No refunds or transfers of fees will occur if the request is made less than two weeks prior to the series start. Programs continue, rain or shine.

Important Information For All Program Registrants:  Please retain an electronic copy of your order number or save/print off a copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt.  You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program.

Cincinnati Nature Center will run advertised programs and events ​in accordance with current guidelines outlined by the CDC and local health agencies. The status or format of programs may change based on COVID-19 best practices and conditions at the time of the program. In the event that Cincinnati Nature Center cancels a class, a full refund will be issued for the canceled class(es).
